St.Antony's of Padua is asking all the people in the parish to participate in lent by each week looking a different aspect of the their spirituality. This week we are to look at "desire". "You are to say quietly and simply, and if possible to another person, what I wish God would change in my life. you enter the desert with Jesus, setting aside distractions for a time, to get in touch with our deepest desires. What do we want? People who don't know their deepest desires are like the runner who, when asked, "where are you going?" answers, "I don't know, but I 'm getting there faster than you are."

I look at this as getting the parish to participate in the mass during lent. Perhaps we should all do this not just during lent but every Sunday. Father said that people are forgiven every Sunday for just venial sins. I believe it is important to go and celebrate mass for just your mere attendance gets you this blessing if nothing else.

God Bless all
