Temptation is Great, God's love is greater!
Posted On 01/21/2009 02:03:19 by vernpaul
When you fall from grace and you are a leader only God is there to forgive you. He knows you are trying to do good. He watches you and keeps you from falling too far. His angels watch and they see you and help you. They keep you out of trouble. The devil is there too. He watches through the eyes of his minions. He is waiting for the angels to let down there guard. God is great though. He keeps his people strong. He feeds and takes care of you as long as you love him and tend to your soul. I often ask myself how do you defeat your temptations? The other night they flooded me like a dam breaking. There was no one to talk to. It is good to have a friend to call when the temptations is washing over you like a wave. If that fails you pray to God to keep your soul strong. When the storm subsides you tell yourself that God loves you no matter what. You go over your goals and then you make a plan to reach that goal. My temptations usually are of the lustful kind. I usually can evade them but there are times I must tell my friends I need help. If they are understanding friends they will help you out. Keeping busy at all times is truly your saving grace. It is when your mind is undisciplined, and you fail to pray and you let the mind free to roam, that is when trouble will lurk. Set your goals high. Have a mentor. Mine is John Paul II and Scott Hahn. Let God be the judge if your standards are too high. God wants us to succeed and be with him. If we fall because we love him, we will not fall all the way. He wont let us because God's love is strong and he will not let us fail. So set the goals high and pray as often as you can and you will achieve greatness.
